  (Omaha, NE) - The first contested event for Women t the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials was the 100 Butterfly. Rachael Wahl represented SMSC well, finishing 78th out of 130 girls for the event.  (Los Angeles) - Many meet records fell at the JEI Invitational this past weekend at the University of California, along with the American Record in the Women's 200m IM, courtesy of Natalie Coughlin.  (Morro Bay) - Excessive trash talking and boasting over the past year has led to the 1st Annual Coaches v. Swimmers Golf Tournament. The event was held Monday at the Morro Bay Golf Course. Final standings had the coaching staff winning 231 to 255, with Coach Matt crowned the Overall Champion (107), followed by Jeremiah Palmerston (122), Coach Mike (124) and Casey Bateman (133).   (Santa Maria) - SMSC put another Memorial Day Invitational behind them with teams from Santa Monica and Bakersfield helping to make the local field more competitive. Silver I & II athletes, swimming in their first long course meets did exceptionally well.
