(Fedreral Way, WA) - The 58th Annual University of Washington Husky Invitational kicked off Thursday night at the KING County Aquatic Center in Federal Way. The facility has been home to the 1991 Goodwill Games plus numerous U.S. National Championships. The meet includes teams from universities including UC Berkeley, U of Idaho, U of Washington, Oregon State and Whitowrth College. (Santa Maria) - The 2nd Olympic Conference Splash competition saw some exciting swimming on Saturday morning. Many best times were turned in by SMSC, North County and Lompoc swimmers under clear blue skies. The meet took about 90 minutes to be completed. This was the 2nd of five OCS swim meets. Those athletes from SMSC making at least 4/5 of the meets will earn a trophy at the Championship on March 3. The OCS #3 HolidaySwim will take place at 9:30AM, Saturday, December 16, 2006.

(San Luis Obispo, CA) - Josh Prenot had an amazing evening Friday night at the San Luis Obispo Gobbler Invitational. Going into the 1650 Yard Freestyle, Prenot was seeded at 17:44 from a meet two weeks previous. On the first day of the Gobbler Invitational, Prenot swam to a Texas Sectional Time Standard of 17:06, making the standard by nearly 7 seconds. Gold Group Coach Cathy Cooley will be moving on to bigger things as of Thursday, November 16. Cathy has coached with SMSC for over 15 years - 9 with Coach Mike and 6 at SMSC. (Concord, CA) - The final day of competition came to a close today at the Pacific Trials and Finals Invitational which featured competition between some of the best clubs and athletes in Northern California.
