  Rio Mesa Swimmers of the Meet:   Emily Edds & Marcos Hillje-Enthoven   Aaron Friedrich & Emma Marsalek   Way to go!   Older athletes traveling to CAL Berkeley this weekend!

  Congratulations to Josh Prenot who finished his SMSC career with a 45th and 48th WORLD ranking in the 200 Breast and 400 IM, respectively. Prenot also finished 6th in the 18-under World Rankings for the 200 Breast, 12th in the 400 IM, 17th in the 200 IM and 28th in the 100 Breast. Go SMSC! This was an endeavor that started when the athlete was 10 years old.

  For the 7th consectuive year in a row, SMSC has brought home a USA Bronze Medal. The Bronze Medal status recognizes the Top 200 USA Swim Clubs and how well they develop Senior level talent. Thanks to the efforts of such athletes as Sonny Fierro, Josh Prenot, Elizabeth Pulido and those who came before, SMSC once again stays in the Top 200. Who's next?

  (Santa Maria, CA) - Over the course of the first three meets of the season, area teams have conducted the IMx Challenge to award the most versatile athletes by gender and age group. In short, athletes must swim a distance of each stroke, an IM event and a longer freestyle event. It measures versatility.
