SMSC Rocks the IMx Challenge!!

 
(Santa Maria, CA) - Over the course of the first three meets of the season, area teams have conducted the IMx Challenge to award the most versatile athletes by gender and age group. SMSC finished the competition with a dominant performance, as follows:

9-10 Girls: Sara Brown took 2nd, losing to 1st place by .02!

11-12 Girls: Izzie Fraire took the top honors, followed by Samantha Hazel and Chelsey Kang in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

11-12 Boys: James Hazel took the #1 spot, followed by Marcos Hillje Enthoven and Blake Simpson. Although they only award the Top 3, it should be noted that places 4th through 7th were taken by Wyatt Marsalek (4th), Simon Goldin (5th), Nathaniel Adams (6th) and Jo-Soo Park (7th).

13-14 Girls: Haley Kang finished 4th. Following in spots 5-10, in order: Jesse Van der Laan, Madeline Callis, Adrienne Mathieu, Victoria Friedrich, Elizabeth Kwong, Cora Knowles.

13-14 Boys: Austin Simpson took the #1 spot by over a minute (combined times of all events).

15-18 Girls: All but 2 of the top 13 spots were taken up by SMSC athletes! Taking #1 was Elizabeth Pulido. Following, in spots #2-5: Paola Hernandez, Casey Kennemann, Kristina Hendrick, Emily Mathis.

15-18 Boys: Josh Miner Dasmann held on for 3rd, despite competing against 2 18 year old men.
