 NorCal Swim Shop will be on-deck for a Santa Maria Swim Club Team fitting on Friday, May 27, 2011 from 4:00-6:00PM and again during our Memorial Day Meet on Saturday, May 28, 2011 during the meet. This is a great opportunity to pick up a new team suit (Royal Blue NIKE), goggles, snorkels, fins, paddles or anything else you might need. A reminder that SMSC team policy mandates that all swim meet participation be in the royal blue NIKE team suit, Gold cap and the team shirt.

  (Ann Arbor, MI) - Elizabeth Pulido turned in a stellar performance on Sunday morning in the Women's 200m Backstroke to move up 15 spots and qualify for the consolation final in the event. Pulido's time of 2:20 also qualifies her for the Summer Junior Nationals to be held at Stanford University in August. Pulido's bid to qualify for Olympic Trials also got a bit closer as she closed the gap by another 2 seconds. Josh Prenot also finaled for SMSC, winning the Men's Consolation final in the 400 IM...

  (Ann Arbor, Michigan) - The first stop of the summer Grand Prix and National tour starts this Thursday in Ann Arbor, Michigan at the University of Michigan. Grand Prix meets showcase the top swimming talents in the country as they head towards the Summer National and Junior National Championships. Representing Santa Maria will be Josh Prenot, Elizabeth Pulido, Karen Hendrick and Michaela Paige. Results will be available live on USA Swimming and evening posts at the conclusion of finals on this website.

  (Colorado Springs, CO) - Congratulations to Josh Prenot and Elizabeth Pulido for their listing on the USA Swimming Top 10 list for the 2009-2010 season. Pulido made the list for the 13-14 Girl's 200 Backstroke with a time of 2:22.36, ranking her 8th. Prenot made the list in mutliple events, and, because of his birthday, landed on both the 15-16 and 17-18 Boy's lists in numerous events. Those events included the 200 & 400 IM, and 200 Butterfly.

  (Clovis, CA) - As the third day of competition came to a close, Santa Maria Swim Club held on to the third place team trophy. Final team scores were as follows: 1st     Clovis Swim Club    4349 2nd     TNT                           3249 3rd     Santa Maria              1370 4th     PUMA                          946 5th     Merced                       856 Strong showings by all SMSC team members on the final day. Congratulations on a job well done.

(Clovis, CA) - SMSC continued the charge today as day 2 of the Central California Junior Olympics drew to a close. Santa Maria is in a solid 3rd place, almost 200 points ahead of PUMA. Clovis Swim Club continues to dominate, well ahead in first place. Highlights from day 2 include the 13-14 Girl's 200 Free Relay of Kwong, Clardy, Mathis and Kennemann finishing 2nd in a time of 1:49.02; while the 13-14 Boy's Relay of Sterns, Youngblood, Simpson and Miner-Dasmann also took 2nd. (Clovis, CA) - The 2011 Short Course Central Califonia Junior Olympics leaped out of the gate today with host team Clovis taking the early lead. Santa Maria finished the evening in 3rd, with two days left in the competition. Casey Kennemann got things started for SMSC, winning the 13-14 400 Individual Medley with a 4:42.   (La Jolla, CA) - The Santa Maria Swim Club rounded out the weekend with some great swims at the San Diego Senior Championships and took home the 2nd place trophy. Josh Prenot also won the Men's High Point Award. Karen Hendrick won the 200 Fly in 2:05.00 which also had 6 other SMSC girls spread across the Consols and Big Finals.
