SMSC in 3rd at San Diego Senior Champs

 (San Diego, CA) - SMSC had a stunning night at the end of the first full night of competition at the San Diego Senior Championships. Josh Prenot broke his own team record in the 100 Breast oon his way to the title in 55.8 Prenot also won the 200 IM (1:50).

Emily Mathis moved from 8th to 5th in her first A Final to turn in a 1:07 in the 100 Breast. Mathis started the day at 1:11.

Casey Kennemann won the consols of the 200IM with a 2:10, a 3 second drop.

The Boys 800 Freestyle Relay of Prenot, Fierro, Youngblood and Vogt set a blazing pace on the way to eclipsing the SMSC Team Record in 7:10.

With two days left in the competition, home town NCA maintains a huge lead with Pacific Swimming and Santa Maria in a dogfight for 2nd and 3rd. (SMSC is 6 points behind.)
