SMSC holds onto 2nd place while Men break 400 MR record...

 
(La Jolla, CA) - The second full day of competition concluded Saturday at the San Diego Senior Championships with SMSC still hanging on to 2nd place and the Men's 400 Medley Relay breaking the team record.

Team scores at the conclusion of the 2nd of three days had North County of San Diego holding a commanding lead with 1032, SMSC in 2nd with 409, followed by CAST (3rd / 357); and Clovis (4th / 337). One day of competition remains.

SMSC had an amazing night with some great finals swims. Elizabeth Pulido finished 2nd in the 100 Back. The girls relay of Pulido, Karen Hendrick, Paige and Hernandez managed a top 8 finish in the 200 Free Relay.

Josh Prenot was a double event winner and closed to within 1 point of the high point trophy with a win in the 100 Fly and 200 Free.

The meet concludes Monday.
