SMSC rocks Ohio Grand Prix

 
(Columbus, OH) - The SMSC National Team is having a great week at the 2010 Ohio Grand Prix. The meet began on Thursday with Madeline Mastrup swimming in the finals of the 800 Freestyle. The evening concluded with two consolation finals for Josh Prenot - both best times and one a team record. Prenot managed a 57.0 100m Fly in the consols, then 10 minutes later swam to a 2:07 200 IM and team record.

Friday, as the  meet continued, several more athletes made finals and went best times. Elizabeth Pulido raced to a 1:07.6 100 Back in the Bonus Final. Karen Hendrick dropped 4 seconds to turn in a 5:12 400m IM.

Prenot, sporting a Westin hotel robe, swam in the Big Final against a mostly college crowd in the 400m IM to turn in a best time, 4:31. 15 minutes later, in consols, Prenot dropped 6 seconds in the 200 Breast to turn in a team record 2:24.

The meet concludes Saturday.
