4 SMSC High Performance athletes were recognized by the Santa Maria Times as they signed National Letters of Intent to high level universities around the Nation. All have signed scholarship offers for their swimming and academic achievements and are expected to contribute to their respective universities beginning in September 2010.

Jordan Devine, currently part of Santa Ynez High School has signed to swim for San Diego State University and specialize in the 50 & 100 Freestyles.

Erica Brannon, currently at St. Joseph's High School, has signed to swim for Oregon State University and specialize in the Backstroke and IM events.

Lora Lougee, currently at Pioneer High School, has signed to swim for Washington State University and will specialize in the distance and backstroke.

Maddie Mastrup, currently at St. Jospeh's High School has signed to swim for Colorado State University and will be one of their primary distance swimmers.

All three of the girls have been a part of SMSC since they were 9, with Jordan Devine joining as a freshmen in high school.

Kudos to the girls on their achievements. Remember that this is a routine achievement for us and these are not the first to go off to great universities.
