2007 California-Nevada Champs continues

(Clovis, CA) - The Santa Maria Swim Club maintained a spot in the Top 6 at the California-Nevada Championships Thursday evening.

Rachael Wahl moved up from 5th to 2nd place in the 200 Butterfly, qualifiying for USA Nationals in 2:16.91. This also broke her own existing team record in the event and left her just .22 off of Olympic Trials.

Erica Brannon, competing as the youngest female in the field, finsihed 5th in the 200 Backstroke. Her morning swim set a new SMSC 13-14 Girls 200 Backstroke record.

Lora Lougee managed a 10th place finish in the 800 Freestyle.

The meet continues through Sunday.
