2007 CA/NV Championships begin

(Clovis, CA) - The 2007 Speedo CA/NV Championships began Wednesday evening with the Men's and Women's 800 Freestyles. Over 110 teams from all over California and Nevada with 900 plus athletes will be competing over the week.

Results were not available at press time. However, Josh Prenot set a new SMSC team record in the 13-14 Boys 800 Freestyle with an 8:57. The previous record was 9:08, set by former SMSC swimmer and Presenior Coach, Mark Bennett.

The meet continues through Sunday.
