Olympic Confernce Splash season off to big start!!

(Santa Maria) - The 1st Olympic Conference Splash season kicked off with a bang on Friday evening at the Paul Nelson Aquatic Center with over 55 athletes from SMSC participating. The Olympic Conference Splash (OCS) is an attempt to provide more racing in a fun environment for the Novice level at SMSC. Five in-season meets are held with a culminating championship in March. Those athletes participating in 4 out of 5 in-season OCS meets will earn themselves a team trophy at the championship.

Many SMSC athletes turned in best times at their first meet of the season (or for some, their first meet ever). Consequent OCS meets will include more events and more competition.

The next OCS meet is Saturday, November 18 at 9:30AM, also at PNAC. This 2nd OCS meet will also play host to the novice crews from teams in Lompoc, San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles.
